During this hearing, Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq, counsel for Rajab Butt, put forth arguments before the court. After hearing these, the court ordered both Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak to join an investigation being conducted by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
Additionally, an order was issued by the court not to take any action in connection with an arrest of the suspects until January 6.
During this case hearing, it was reported that Rajab Butt had secured bail from Islamabad High Court, with subsequent directives from this court to appear before Sessions Court for further prosecution. Taking this into consideration, this court granted an extension of interim bail to promote continuity in this case.
After listening to arguments presented by both sides, the court formally allowed the interim bail of Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala, adjourning the relief till January 6. The court stated that the next hearings in the case will be conducted on the next fixed date.
As per court records, both suspects have put in their bail requests through Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq. One bail application is from Rajab Butt, and two bail applications in different cases have been lodged by Nadeem Mubarak from the NCCIA.
The NCCIA have already filed cases against these TikTokers for violating cyber laws regarding online betting sites they promote on social media platform TikTok. Cases have already been initiated against them, and an investigation is being conducted. The case has gained widespread attention primarily because of the rising attention being given to social influencers and illegal online gambling application advertising in Pakistan.
